Site de Poker Prize Pools

When a player enters a tournament on a site de poker, their entry fee goes into a prize pool that is paid out to the winner or top players of the tournament. For many sites de poker en ligne, this means that a weekly tournament begins on Monday with the initial buy-in and first round or two of poker held at some point. Once a player begins the initial round, they move up in the tournament until the make it to the final that is typically held on the weekend. If they place in the final or win, they win the prize pool.

A typical poker site does not let players play for actual money; instead their buy in amount gives them an amount of points that they use in the first round. Some tournaments allow the players to carry those points to the next round; while others have everyone start with the same number of points to start within each round. The advantage to a site de poker over a standard in-person tournament is that the buy-in round is often quite a bit cheaper because it is buying points. The pool that comes from the buy in can be quite large though because a poker site can start a tournament with thousands of players and many more players to their weekly tournament than an in person tournament could hope to host.
